The WHD030 and WHD030-V2 use the 4.9-5.9GHz band.
With regards to Security and encryption, the units use a proprietary protocol developed Aminon with AES128 encryption. The signal is encrypted using an integrity code; AES keys are exchanged using RSA1024.
